The Newsletter previously included only text and minimal images. Partner advertisements felt stale and static. Interviews included inconsistent language and style.

Designed UI & Multimedia Interactivity

The Newsletter is meant to inform readers about programming efforts CLSAS provides for young professionals interested in international affairs.

  1. Podcast: The Newsletter previously included only text and minimal images. In order to properly harmonize these necessary graphics on the same page and provide additional features to users, I opted to include audio as well. I emphasized the media player and de-emphasize text. This design is meant to engage readers and provide a nudge to listen to the podcast through seamless integration and added enjoyment to their newsletter experience.
  2. Arabic Tables: Advertisements about partnership programming are important to CLSAS given they solidify professional relationships and benefit multiple organizations long-term. In this scenario, I highlighted the relevant information–the schedule–using the CLSAS brand color underneath Arabic-inspired patterning.
  3. Alumni Interview: These interviews highlight the accomplishments of CLS alumni. In this case, I conducted the interview, and wrote the published article. I opted to feature the related images more prominently using a brand-colored shadow.
